B.Sc (Agri.) Degree Programme:

B.Sc. (Agri.) course is completed in eight semesters (4 years). The course includes theory and practicals of various subjects of Agriculture Science. The course curriculum has 186 credits distributed in eight semesters. The curriculum requires minimum 50 per cent marks for passing (Separate passing for theory and practical). The subjects included in B.Sc. (Agri.) degree programme are Agronomy, Agricultural Botany, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Plant Pathology, Agricultural Entomology, Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Engineering. The VII and VIII semester students are allotted with READY programme which includes RAWE & AIA (Rural Agricultural Work Experience & Agro Industrial Attachment) & ELP (Experiential Learning Programme). Students co-curricular activities involve participation in different sports, NSS, cultural activities etc. The college has created facilities of Experiential Learning programmes viz. Seed Production & Technology, Commercial Vegetable Production, Nursery Management of Horticultural Crops, Soil and Water Clinic, Plant and Fertilizer, Processing of Milk and Milk Product etc. which will be helpful to the students to develop their entrepreneurial skill so that they can become job provider.

Job Opportunitiesafter B.Sc. (Agri.):

Competitive Exam Cell : The cell guides students who appear for UPSC, MPSC or other competitive exams. Lectures by various experts from different fields are organized regularly.

Tours And Visits : Tours and visits are organized every year at various agricultural institutes, universities, departments throughout the Maharashtra state and the country to impart practical knowledge to the students.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel Facilities are available for all girls’ students. However, for boys limited hostel facility is available.

Transport

Transportation facilities (bus facility) for students for conducting different visits are available with the college.

Gymkhana / Sports

Play ground facility for different outdoor games like, Kho-Kho, Kabbadi, Cricket, Basket ball, Volleyball and Athletics and Indoor games viz. Chess, Table-Tennis, Mallkhamb are available at campus.

Students’ Council

Under The University Act class representatives are nominated on merit basis to form the Students’ Council. The Council plays an active role in various curricular and extra-curricular activities held throughout the year.

Placement Cell

The placement cell is formed in college in year 2018-19. The cell conducts different agriculture related trainings for entrepreneurship development for final year student. And it will also arrange campus interviews of different reputed agro based industries for the students. The cell will play a key role in facilitating students with good job opportunities.

Students are encouraged to participate in various cultural Programmes, Competitions and youth Festivals at interuniversity, university and national level.

Guest Lecture

The guest lecturers of experts from various disciplines are arranged by the college to motivate the students to provide them additional subject knowledge to encourage then for study and to create the interest in the subject.
